Step-by-step: The Spiral Ponytail

It’s time to upgrade your ponytail from gym staple to style essential. And what better way to do it, then with a wet-look spiral ponytail? Not only is it on-trend (look no further than the catwalk), but it’s also easy to do – here’s how.

1

MAKE SMOTH

For a sleek, wet-look finish, you’ll want to apply a smoothing cream to your hair. Divide your hair into sections, starting at the nape of your neck. Run the smoothing cream from your roots through to the ends of your hair. Work your way up to the crown of your head.

2

CREATE A PONYTAIL

Comb your hair back into a slick ponytail and secure with a hair band. Remove a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the hair band to conceal it.

3

TWIST AND TURN

Separate the ponytail in two. Then, tightly twist the lengths around one another to create a spiral. Fasten with a hair band.

4

HOLD

Finish with hair spray to give your spiral ponytail extra hold. Voila!
